How I feel about this project.
I think it is a very creative assignment. This I like because it differs from the everyday normal paper due every week thing. For someone like me it was difficult because I am very unused to this site and find it very dificult to navigate. But overall it was kinda fun. Just wish we could have done it through the whole semester rather than an end of the semester assignment.
CA The Hurt Locker
Critical Assessment
I wrote this review for the magazine called The Box Office. They are more drawn to an audience of 20 to 40 year olds. It is a magazine more about movies so it would also incorporate more of a detailed review about the directors achievements and techniques and also the negatives about their movie. It is a non gender biased magazine. Box Office would probably be more of a semi-higher educational level, meaning those with Bachelors degrees and maybe someone with a Masters Degree. Obviously their hobbies would have something to do with movies. Box Office magazine uses curse words, but not in every review. It may contain slang and some more higher educational vocabulary. This was one of the main reasons why I chose to do my review for The Hurt Locker for Box Office magazine. I felt it was well rounded. I feel that it may be drawn towards people with a middle to high income due to the nature of the magazine being for flexography. I did use a lot of Military relevant language because I felt it needed to give the reader an insight to how the military thinks. I felt that I was able to make a well rounded review for someone to watch or at least give them some background information in order for them to think more in depth about the movie. I felt that it was important for me to write this paper for this movie because there are too many movies that claim to be accurate about war, but only capture small kind of important things necessary for their movie.
Katherine Bigelow is a great director and has come a long way in making "war" movies more realistic, but she still fell short. It is important for people to know that they will never get it right unless they have been there. Even if they have been there, they would still have to scale things back because most civilians are not ready and never will be ready for the full story.

CA Argumentative Essay
With students eager to learn because they have eliminated outside factors as much as possible, graduation rates and success rates will soar into the sky! Maybe even raise in the world education ranking from bottom to top. More graduates will attend college and help create a world where schools get more funding for doing the right thing. This will also in turn with drug and alcohol abuse, child abuse, crime, and suicide rates. We should all come together and volunteer or at the very least donate five dollars a month to a school our children attend to or a school we care about. Think about it, buying one less pack of cigarettes or one less beer at the bar a month times one thousand people equals a ton of money that will help America as a whole.
So I fixed this post since it was a double of everyday use. This is an excerpt from my argumentative essay.

CA Everyday Use
I will admit that when I was reading these two stories I had more stronger opinions about some of the characters and had to minimize some of my opinions. They made me think a lot about some of the things I learned about when I sat in on some court cases with my husband Jesse the other day. The criminal justice system deals a lot with race and ethnicity. In my geography class we went over the difference between race and ethnicity which was important when interpreting these stories. My opinion didn’t really change as I read them or went through and interpreted them. I found credible sources on the internet and I looked for either government sources or something that had a lot of support for what it was saying. Academic sources use a lot more technical language than most other cites and the authors have a lot of research put into their web pages and what they wrote. I had a difficult time following “Everyday Use” at first, but as I went through the story I was able to understand who was who. I also had a difficult time finding sources to put into my essay because I interpreted it based on how I felt about it and my experiences in my life. I enjoyed the stories and interpreting them because I like understanding more of the meaning behind things.
This was a difficult paper, but I enjoyed picking apart the story.

CA Rewrite
When I worked on my paper I found that I tend to use I and bland terms such as they when speaking about a specific person. I need to be more conscious of when I do this. I went to the writing center and talked to one of the tutors about my paper. I have a difficult time finding specifics and how to word them in my paper. I went back and tried to give more examples and instead of saying “famous athletes” I used actual famous athletes names like Michael Jordan and Lebron James. I felt that this helped me get my point across. I talked about the technology in the shoes to give an example of the progress Nike has made and how they basically control the sports market in some ways. I also changed my heading because it was incorrect as far as MLA style goes. I fixed some grammar and spelling mistakes. In my papers I tend to make things wordy so I went back and revised them so that it was more clear and precise.
This is my whole CA for my rewrite. It goes through all the things I have learned about my writing and what I do that makes my papers suck to say the least. But I go hrough and fix them now.

Nike Commercials
As for the technology Nike uses to produce better shoes is outstanding. The company invented a new type of foam called Lunarlite foam in 1971 (Melissa). This foam is extremely light and provides cushion while providing support. Nike was also the first company to use air units such as the max air in their shoes. After all they were the company that invented it. The Max Air gives extreme cushion in the form of capsulated air in a tough plastic cover. Max Air was invented in 1987 (Melissa). The athletic shoe industry is dominated by Nike. Nike beats other companies by coming out with new technology and types of shoes faster and more successful than anyone else.

CEC Group Project
The Colorado Environmental Coalition has numerous ways in which someone can help out and participate with the Organization. They set up programs where you can purchase something from a specific website, store, and even a brewery right here in Colorado where part of the proceeds go towards the CEC. The tattered cover with give CEC 1 percent of the before tax price of any purchase. If you buy a sampler from the Great Divide Brewing Company they give all the proceeds to CEC. Then there are even online stores where you can select which organization you want to donate part of the proceeds to different organizations you prefer. They even have the typical way of donating money to the organization such as, through your will, through a stock holding you may have, through purchasing a membership, and hosting your own fundraiser. They have many ideas, but they also encourage you to come up with an idea yourself. According the Charity Navigator CEC spends most of their money on programs and the least on fundraising and administrative expenses. The Colorado Environmental Coalition receives government funding, but as always it is not enough to accomplish the dreams and goals of the organization So they rely on many donations of various kinds.
I know this is long, but it is also the unrevised part I contributed to this essay.
