How I feel about this project.
I think it is a very creative assignment. This I like because it differs from the everyday normal paper due every week thing. For someone like me it was difficult because I am very unused to this site and find it very dificult to navigate. But overall it was kinda fun. Just wish we could have done it through the whole semester rather than an end of the semester assignment.

Shelby,
ReplyDeleteWell done adding a poll, however it unfortunately seems to have closed. This can be adjusted under the widget's settings. As for grammar, I didn't find too many errors, although in this post, your last sentence starting with "Just" is missing the letter "J". I agree with the colors, and I like the title box, however a border might help out. The Nike pics are great, very original and I find them to have a strong appeal to pathos. Also it looks like you accidentally posted the same material twice under Argumentative Essay and Everyday Use. Well done adding the video bar as well.
Shelby, I like that you have a photo at the top as soon as you enter into your blog. It makes it more appealing. However, if I were you I would probably try to add a different background or even just some more color. While being simple, the blog is also kinda boring to look at. The only writing mistake I found was the "j" was missing from "just". Also I think you should add more to this entry because I think the assignment was more to write about the entire class rather than just this assignment. However, I do agree with you it would have nice to have started this project earlier in the semester. I think you have a good start.
ReplyDeleteHi Shelby,
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you enjoyed this assignment. It is a little different than just writing a paper, although I think it uses many of the same elements we've been working with all semester, ideas about rhetoric, visual literacy, and, of course, writing well for an audience. Your blog looks good, you have an appealing combination of text and visuals, and I particularly like the opening photo at the top, although it might make a casual reader think the whole blog was about Nike. It was great to have you in class this semester. Good luck in the future!
