Dee had come home with her husband on what seemed a spur of the moment trip. Both had changed quite dramatically. They came off in the story as a couple of beatnik wannabe’s who thought they knew everything and were more important than their family. Dee had changed her name to Wangero Leewanika Kemanjo which sounds like a traditional African name. Her husband changed his name to Asalamalakim which also sounds like a more traditional African name. Her mother seemed a bit shocked when Dee told her she had changed her name, but decided to accept it. Dee thought her name her mother gave her was because of the white slave owners naming their slaves to oppress their African Heritage. When in reality her mother named her after her family members and said it was a family name that had been passed on for many generations and may have gone as far back to when her family was in Africa.

Argumentative essay!
With students eager to learn because they have eliminated outside factors as much as possible, graduation rates and success rates will soar into the sky! Maybe even raise in the world education ranking from bottom to top. More graduates will attend college and help create a world where schools get more funding for doing the right thing. This will also in turn with drug and alcohol abuse, child abuse, crime, and suicide rates. We should all come together and volunteer or at the very least donate five dollars a month to a school our children attend to or a school we care about. Think about it, buying one less pack of cigarettes or one less beer at the bar a month times one thousand people equals a ton of money that will help America as a whole.

Excerpt from my review of the Hurt Locker
This is an excerpt from the essay I wrote reviewing The Hurt Locker.
The other circumstance would be when Ssgt. James was disarming an IED he would need protection from terrorist trying to exicute him through sniper attack or detonating the bomb. His two fellow partners would strategically place themselves in order to give him cover. While this was happening through time more and more Iraqis would be standing on roof tops, watching through windows, and doors. Some would be holding a video camera or communicating with other Iraqi’s in other roof tops through hand signals or other less conspicuous ways. Marine ROE’s would mean that they would have to shoot these men with out hesitation again. This is just in order to provide protection for other Military in the area and other fellow Iraqi’s that were in the path of the explosion.

Paintball Thing
Paintball by Ross Taylor was pretty good. I was able to show both view points about the sport paintball. It gave great detail using statistics on injuries such as eye injuries. It talked a lot about the velocity of the round when fired meaning how far it travels per second. It went into great depth about the actual paintballs and gun and how they all come into play. It also explained how to play paintball and how they can coincide with real life situations using tactics that are also used in police forces and military. He made a good point witht he eye injuries that they were caused due to lack of required protection. Obviously it is dangerous if your not wearing the protection you need to! I would have to agree with Ross Taylor in the fact that yes paintball can be dangerous, but it is a sport like football and people are bound to get hurt.
